Have you ever felt like you were destined for a greater life? Do you feel like something has been holding you back but you just can’t figure out what it is?
You’re not alone. One-third of the population, one out of three people feel like they are not living up to their true potential. Most people, if they are truthful would tell you that they are not living life as their true authentic selves. Most people also do nothing about it either. There is a lot of wishful thinking about changing the way we conduct our lives and changing the things we believe about ourselves, but most people don’t take action and really, truly, change themselves and the lives they are living.
Why? I believe that some folks truly don’t know that change is available to them, or if if they do, they don’t believe that they can change. I also believe that some people don’t even realize the need for them to change for the better. The dysfunction they grew up in , or are now living in seems normal to them. They don’t know that they are living in, or have lived in a situation that is toxic for normal emotional growth and belief systems.
There is hope, you CAN be free from all of your limiting beliefs and live the life that you desire, free, authentic, and genuine. If you have the courage to take action and do the hard work that it requires, and make the difficult decisions that sometimes you have to make, then you can live the bold and fulfilling life that you have always wanted and have always known that was hidden inside of you.
You are not going to change your life into what you want it to be until you change what is inside of you and change the way that you think about yourself and the situations you are faced with everyday. It takes practice, time, and a degree of mental toughness that most of us don’t have when we were starting out on this journey (I know I didn’t have much when I started).
That’s why I started Freedom From Limiting Beliefs, to give people who are on their journey to freedom the benefit of tools, advice, and the experience I’ve gained on my own journey.
We want to provide a place to come for no BS answers to your questions and challenges as you ditch the beliefs that have held you back from experiencing authentic living. No rainbows and unicorns here (hate that when you’re looking for real answers), nor any vaporous “internet philosophy” infographics with cutesy sayings that don’t add any value to your daily quest. We cut through the red tape and try to provide real world, workable answers, with no woeful tones or wimpiness. Techniques and systems that work is what we want to provide you along with compelling articles to keep you motivated, because let’s face it, change is not for the faint of heart.
Straight up and matter of fact, not tough love per se, but no foo foo.
Freedom From Limiting Beliefs is a place where people of any background, gender, religion, or any thing else can come and feel welcome.
I started own my own journey to freedom back in 2007 after years of knowing that something wasn’t quite “right,” even though up to that point I had served my country and had carved out a professional career that allowed me to travel for a living. Eventually though, the weight of it all caught up to me and the sheer energy it took to function every day was just too much to sustain any longer.
Since then I’ve been able to overcome and beat depression, self-hatred, co-dependency, approval addiction, abject unworthiness and a lack of self identity. Through all of that I began to see myself and the true potential that is within me, and began to live it.
It hasn’t been easy mind you, it’s taken time and a lot of hard work along with some setbacks here and there. And, I’m not finished yet. I don’t think any of us should ever be finished chiseling, honing, and polishing our mental, emotional, and spiritual inner selves.
The reason I’m telling you any of this, is so that you know that I have been there and know what it’s like to feel held back and have no idea why, or if you do, have no idea what to do about it. I also know what it is to have sought professional help and come away from that experience completely unsatisfied with the results, and have to search for the answers on my own. That doesn’t make me any better than anyone else, it just means that I have done the work and am just a little bit farther down the path than some of you are. By the way, that is me in the pic at the top of this post, Laguna Beach 2010, I had no idea that one of my friends was going to snap this pic. I’m glad she did.
I truly believe it is my next mission in life to help others who have been in similar situations to rid themselves of self-limiting beliefs and begin their journeys to a new and authentic way of living. If you’ve found your way to this site and have stayed to the end of this page, then congratulations, let the journey begin!
